I am concentrating more on growing Chilli Peppers for seed production and Succulents and some cacti.
Our climate is hot in Summer up to 40°+Celsius and cold in Winter. We get frost, the coldest temperature we had was -4°Celsius in the hot house.

This is the true curry leaf tree, not the curry plant which is often available. Beautiful tree up to 4m with aromatic leaves. Use in stir frying, meat dishes and curry.

Kaffir lime leaves are popular in Thailand, West of Cambodia, Malay and Indonesian (especially, Balinese) but less so in Vietnam. It originally came from South East Asia. Kaffir lime has a very strong, characteristic fragrance that cannot easily be substituted by other spices. Kaffir lime can be successfully grown from seeds. I purchased grafted Kaffir Lime and always regretted it. As the plant matures you find shoots growing from below the graft. This is the common wild lemon used as root stock. They have to be removed constantly. I have now grown Kaffir lime from my own seeds and I will plant it soon.
Used medicinally since ancient times, now as confectionery and flavouring medicine, root up to 50 times sweeter than sugar, tall perennial legume, harvest after three years, replant roots or scarified seed in spring or autumn.
SAFFRON (Crocus sativa)
This is the true saffron, the most expensive spice in the world. It is very rare and hard to get in Australia. Saffron should also be an excellent commercial crop. The plant is hardy and easy to grow. Uses: Spanish cuisine, Asian dishes, rice and stir fry.

PENNYWORT, ARTHRITIS HERB, GOTU KOLA (Centella asiatica) TP, M, plants
This is the PENNYWORT referred to in an article in Australian Woman's Day magazine. A husband and wife R. & B. from Mullumbimby, both arthritis sufferers say. Quote:" My wrists and knuckles were swollen, making it impossible to wear my wedding ring. I had limited movement in my thumb and my fingers would lock up. I was in terrible pain. I can't say it cures arthritis, because I don't have the scientific evidence. But a number of people had symptoms of arthritis before eating the leaves of this plant and now they no longer have them."
